Collection: Kyo Uchiwa

Kyo Uchiwa is a traditional hand fan from Kyoto, Japan, renowned for its delicate craftsmanship and elegant design.
These fans feature a unique "sashi-e" structure, where finely arranged bamboo ribs are combined with a separate, intricately crafted handle. Known as "Miyako Uchiwa," they were once used in the imperial court.

Crafted with care from bamboo aged four to five years from the Saga region, and often finished with lacquer and gold accents, Kyo Uchiwa is both a functional fan and a timeless piece of art, passed down through generations of skilled artisans.
