This is a scene drawn in the Suijin Woods and Masaki on the Sumida River Banks seen from the opposite direction. It is understood that Hiroshige sketched it from the window of Kinoeneya Restaurant situated in the precinct of the Masaki Inari Shrine. Kinoeneya was one of the restaurants in the compound serving a special dish of Tofu (bean-curd), baked and daubed with Miso (bean-paste). They catered to visitors to the shrine which was favored by the superstitious and rakes.
